Quick & Easy Setup!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a 36 year old woman and decided to set this tent up in the basement before taking it out into the woods to camp, just to see how easy it would be to set up and what I might struggle with. It was incredibly simple to set up by myself. Getting the poles attached and the rain fly over it took less than 10 min. The tent itself is very spacious, and the screened room is a great addition. Perfect to put our duffel bags and plastic totes that we don't want to leave outside. The dark room technology will be very nice, it definitely keeps a lot of light out! Can't wait to take the kids camping with this!

Great Tent. Set up a bit complicated
We recently bought this tent and took it on a weekend camping trip. It was really spacious, and the dark room technology was super nice in the morning. I have a feeling we are going to love the screened in porch, and I really like that my dog can sleep separately from us (ticks).
The only issue is that the tent is a little complicated to set up and the included instructions aren’t very detailed. I’m a lifelong camper and still had to watch a video to figure it out, but basically the tent needs to be staked out to retain it’s shape. The ground where we went camping was loose and we weren’t able to get the stakes to hold in place, but we made it work. Hopefully this weekend will be better.

Awesome tent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is great! Every time I have went tent camping I wake up as soon as the sun comes up because it's beaming in the tent, not this one! With the room darkening technology it can be full sun and it's still dark inside it has plenty of room for a smaller tent I love that it has a entrance area to put your shoes or to keep from getting the rest of the tent dirty the pictures I made really do not do this tent justice it really is incredible and backed by a good name you simply can't go wrong with anything Coleman!

Great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used this Skydome 4-person tent several times. It is lightweight yet sturdy and so easy to set up. The first time took about 10 minutes as we got familiar with it, but each subsequent time took 5 minutes or less. It's helpful to have a second person, but I can do it alone without problem. We like the screen room to leave our shoes in, and also as a covered place to sit when someone is still sleeping in the main part. It could certainly also be used as extra sleeping room. There are several pockets inside to put items up where they won't get stepped on (I like to put my phone and eyeglasses in them at night). I like how easy it is to remove or fold back the cover when we want to see the stars. I was skeptical that the tent would actually be dark enough to sleep beyond day break, but it really is dark inside! I also appreciate how easy it is to take down and to store in the carry bag. We are very pleased with the Coleman Skydome!

So many flaws
SO very disappointed in Coleman for the first time. As a lifelong camper of 50 years, this tent was so lacking that I returned it after set up at home - grateful that I checked it out before taking it out!
The front access fly & screen only open for half! Very awkward for in & out for me & my gear & I'm a pretty tiny girl @ 115#. My 200#+ partner never would've navigated this.
The large rear window has no covering! Even with the rainfly attached, moisture came in, as did sun & heat. A rainstorm would leave one flooded. How in the world would Coleman give such a nice, large window (looked like it took up at least 75-80% of the rear tent surface) with no shade?!?
No more Coleman for me.

Wanted to love it- but it fell short
Overall 3 stars- I really wanted to love this tent, but it falls short.
1. Ventilation, it’s not good, there is no way to get the rain fly from the sides of the tent to vent. No peak vent.
2. Dark, yes it’s a dark room tent. I thought I wanted it, but it’s black inside. Must have light at the ready all the time.
3. It’s so hot, I have tent camped a bunch, this tent with it’s limits for ventilation is extremely hot. So if you get rain on a hot day you will suffer. A fan is a necessity for this tent. If the weather is dry I suggest you pull off part of the rain fly.
4. Size does not allow for vertical placement of campers/cots. Interior tent door is more of an oversized window. This is really a one person tent.
5. The materials are great, sturdy and easy set up and tear down. I did it solo in less than 10 minutes.
6. I’m keeping this tent for solo trips and will figure out how to modify the tent’s short falls.

Spacious and easy to pack away
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent fits my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 young kids). The removable cover on top turns the tent into a dark room. My kids and I have been camping out in our yard. There are insect netting that can be zippered down for ventilation. After use, this tent packs nicely into the bag with handles. Awesome tent for backyard or for the woods.

Good but not all weather.
Mostly love it. I like to sleep in and this definitely keeps dark. Haven’t had a chance to try it in the rain. Resistant against wind for sure. Keeps heat in if you have a heater. Fits my inflatable queen with about a foot to spare and put in a side table. The porch is the best addition I looked for when I was in the market. Love the porch. Currently on a camping trip in truck haven and the wind PLUS sand is not a good combo for this tent. This tent is not sand storm resistant. SO much sand in it. It would be convenient if there were additional zipper-able seals to keep out dust and in this case sand.
