It is always recommended to clear out any debris before setting up your tent, however, if they like, they can purchase some heavy tarp material to use as a footprint for their tent. I understand you&#39;re having an issue with a broken elastic in one of the poles. Here are some steps to help you repair it:&#10;&#10;Steps to Repair the Elastic:&#10;1- Gather Materials: You will need a new piece of shock cord (elastic), scissors, a lighter, and a paper clip or similar tool.&#10;2- Remove the Old Elastic: Carefully cut and remove the broken elastic from the pole sections. Make sure to note the length and any knots or attachment points.&#10;3- Prepare the New Elastic: Cut a piece of new shock cord to the same length as the old one. Slightly melt the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying.&#10;4- Thread the New Elastic: Straighten a paper clip and create a small hook at one end. Use this to thread the new elastic through the pole sections. It might be helpful to do this one section at a time.&#10;5- Secure the Ends: Once the elastic is threaded through all sections, tie a secure knot at one end. If the poles have a ball at one end that can&#39;t be removed, tie the knot on the inside of the pole so it won&#39;t slip out.&#10;6- Test the Repair: Make sure the elastic is taut but not overstretched.
