Since it broke after just three uses, it may also be worth checking that you're only replacing the single damaged section rather than the entire pole&mdash;it can save you time and materials.

The Coleman Skydome 4-Person Camping Tent with Full-Fly Vestibule does not have a fiberglass rod integrated into the door. Instead, it features a rainfly pole that is inserted into a sleeve at the front of the rainfly, above the door. This pole provides additional coverage and extends the vestibule area, but it is not part of the main tent structure and does not support the door itself.

Thank you for your question. Please be advised that Waterproofing a tent usually becomes necessary after a few years of using it. If your tent is new and has not been exposed to a lot of UV rays, you should not have to water proof it!

When setting up your new tent, please be sure to stake the tent out well, use all your guy lines and all the Velcro straps when you put on the rain fly. Those few things are critical when it comes to the performance of our tent in rainy or windy conditions. Attaching all the Velcro when putting on the rain fly will insure a good sturdy and wind resistant overall structure of the tent. Using all your guy lines will help guiding the water away from seams and windows if it does rain. The basic rule for setting guy lines on a tent is to stake them out tight at a 45&deg; angle. The stake would normally be about 5 to 6 feet from the tents main body depending on the size of your tent.
