Easy setup

Serenity and Space: Reviewing the Coleman Skydome 8P Tent with Screen Room
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Coleman Skydome tent has been an absolute game-changer for our group during our camping trip! The setup in just a couple of minutes allowed us more time to enjoy the outdoors. The separate space with the removable mesh wall became our meeting point and an additional sleeping area for friends.
The nearly vertical walls added a cozy touch and increased the headroom by 20%, making the interior more comfortable. The weather resistance with the tub-like floor, welded corners, and sealed seams proved to be a lifesaver during rainy weather. The color-coded corners in red made the setup a breeze.
The spacious dimensions make this tent an excellent choice for camping with friends. It easily accommodates two queen-size air mattresses. The wide door makes gear movement convenient, and the E-port allows easy access to electrical power inside the tent.
The expandable carry bag simplifies the post-trip cleanup. And of course, the one-year warranty adds another layer of confidence in the Skydome. Overall, our experience with this tent has been overwhelmingly positive, and we would gladly recommend it to fellow nature enthusiasts.

Nice design, kept dry
Used the tent for a short campout. The first night had a severe thunderstorm storm with high winds and heavy rain. The campsite flooded with three inches of water under our tent all night long. We ended up spending that night somewhere else but after I came back in the morning the tent was relatively dry. The “tub bottom” really kept water out. It was a lake under the tent all night long and it kept the water out. I think some water came in from the wind blowing so hard and the rain fly blowing up letting some spray in. I was impressed that the tent stayed up and nothing blew off during the strong gusts.
The front area was awesome! When we went to get out things from the tent during the thunderstorm we could open the front area and it would rain in but after we closed it we could take off our coats and boots and keep all the water and mess up front. We could then open the back area and keep it dry. All of our things remained dry.
We also liked having the front area for keeping any dirt away from our beds. We were able to take off and leave our wet and dirty shoes in the front. We didn’t have many bugs but the front screen area would help to keep mosquitoes away from the sleeping area also. Everyone else camping was envious of the front room in our tent. Their tent got very wet when they went to get their things in the storm.
The one complaint is that is it very difficult to figure out how to repack. The poles are attached to the tent which makes it nice and easy for set up but very difficult for repacking. I think the packing instructions are generic. It really needs some video instructions. The poles are attached near the center front of both sides of the tent so when packing it needs to be folded and positioned properly and exactly the right length to get it into the bag. It takes several attempts to figure out how to get the poles placed properly and folded right to get it into the bag. This isn’t something you really want to be doing while packing up a campsite. I almost wish the poles were not attached. Then it could be folded long and rolled up.
