Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK for light camping [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Coleman 6 person Skydome tent and I want to say first and foremost that I love Coleman products, always have, always will. This tent is a good tent for light camping or backyard overnights for the kids. Its a nice size but I don't think you could have more than 3 people in it comfortably and less if you have the blow up mattresses. The only way I could see getting six in it would be all kids, no bags or gear. Getting the tent put up is always a struggle for me (as with all tents) so I can't even say that this was something I thought I would be able to do quickly but an expert camper might not have any issues but I struggled same as always so nothing about this one seemed any easier to me. The tent looks great but the material itself seemed a bit lacking, I cant imagine this would do hardcore camping trips without some kind of rips or tears in the material, it seems a bit thin. The flooring part that comes up the bottom sides is thicker and keeps the ground moisture out and I think would be great if you got caught in some rain. Overall I like this tent and will use it for those spur of the moment trips for fishing or hiking because its very compact and easy to haul with the bag it comes in. And I will let the grandkids sleep in the backyard in it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So-so [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to get this tent and give it a try. We have had Coleman tents in the past and have been very satisfied with them. The 6-Person Skydome Camping Tent felt rather lacking, though, which was rather disappointing. The things I liked about this tent is the size. It is very roomy and does seem to have more headroom making it easier to stand up which is really nice. Also the big screen windows on three walls makes it nice for airflow keeping the inside more comfortable and easier to see all around you to enjoy the view. Of course the rainfly does affect this when it is on. The things I didn't like about this tent is, right off the bat, the tent polls are attached at one end to the tent. They do look like you could remove them if you wanted to bad enough to deal with the hassel. It makes the tent rather awkward to deal with. Set up should be simple and straightforward with this type of design but it is kind of a pain as you have to slide the snaps along and can't adjust the polls free of the tent. I prefer a design with a built-in channel in the tent for the polls to slide through, it makes the tent feel more solid to me. The plastic poll snaps on this tent feel pretty flimsy and like they won't hold up to the pressure for too many uses of this tent. That brings me to the next disappointment with this tent. It just feels flimsy. The materials it is made out of are really thin and feel low-quality. The bottom is tarp material that comes up around the sides a bit which is nice in keeping moisture out but it is very thin material that doesn't feel like it would hold up with frequent or heavy use. The sides are typical "tent" material but is rather thin. The zipper is a little questionable. It doesn't feel like very high quality material. I wonder how long it will last before it breaks. For me a tent has to have a good quality zipper. Poor zippers are a deal breaker for me because when the zipper breaks the whole tent is trash. Other things can be patched or repaired relatively easily but not a zipper. So this 6-Person Skydome Camping Tent from Coleman works well as a day-excursion or light-use tent but for regular to heavy use I would definitely look for a tent with more substantial materials and a little better design in the poll system. I am giving 3 stars because it's kind of middle-of-the-road quality and design, not really outstanding but not horrible either.
