Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price I will agree with the first review. Great tent. Easy setup. I can set it up in ten minutes by myself. Sturdy design. One flaw. No grommet on the sides of the fly to keep the fly away from the tent. There is one on the back, but not the two sides. We bought seven of these tents and are going to get grommets put on the two sides so we can keep the fly away from the tent. I will give this a four star only because this is, in my opinion, a design flaw. I have had other tents in the past that always have a way to pull the fly away on all sides. Camped with four of these tents for a week last year and they performed flawlessly, albeit no rain for the week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good so far- but one major flaw Bought this tent to replace a ~20 year old Coleman tent that leaked the first time it was out in the rain this summer, so my goal was to find something waterproof. Haven't had the oportunity to test it in the rain yet unfortunately, but the rain fly looks solid. Lots of space for one person with a single air mattress, would be tight with a queen or two single air mattresses though. Ample storage pockets inside. A little harder to put up alone than my previous tent because it is taller (and I am short), but the extra headroom is probably worth it for most people. I appreciate that the body of the tent attaches to the poles with hooks instead of sleeves (vestibule has a sleeve). One significant flaw that I can't understand though- while there is a guyline loop on the back of the rainfly to pull it away from the body of the tent for airflow, there are NO guylines on the sides of the rainfly for this purpose. This means that not only is cross-ventinaltion very poor (brutal in the summer), but rain will drip down the rainfly directly on to the base of the tent. My old tent fly had guylines on the sides, and I can't imagine how this was omitted on this one, especially given how stifiling the fly is, but also how necessary it is for privacy in a campground (given the tent body is almost entirely mesh). While I wouldn't say this is necessarily a dealbreaker for me, and I may try to DIY a fix, it added a significant caveat to an almost perfect tent for my needs.

Please be advised that Waterproofing a tent usually becomes necessary after a few years of using it. If your tent is new and has not been exposed to a lot of UV rays, you should not have to water proof it!

When setting up your new tent, please be sure to stake the tent out well, use all your guy lines and all the Velcro straps when you put on the rain fly. Those few things are critical when it comes to the performance of our tent in rainy or windy conditions. Attaching all the Velcro when putting on the rain fly will insure a good sturdy and wind resistant overall structure of the tent. Using all your guy lines will help guiding the water away from seams and windows if it does rain. The basic rule for setting guy lines on a tent is to stake them out tight at a 45° angle. The stake would normally be about 5 to 6 feet from the tents main body depending on the size of your tent.

For further questions or inquiries, you may also visit our contact us web form.
