Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent for newbies or more experienced hikers! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love to hike and camp so this was an amazing tent for us to receive! We did a test run with the tent before we use it this summer. We camped out in our backyard, two adults and a child. First of all, love that the directions are attached to the bag, no losing those! Easy to carry handle and wicked lightweight, 7lbs and not bulky at all. My husband and I found it easy to set up and it only took about ten minutes. Not overly roomy but enough for three adults and sleeping gear. We loved the star viewing window that also allows for extra airflow. My daughter wanted to watch the night sky while falling asleep. Luckily we closed it after she was asleep as it started to rain, but we had no issues with any moisture inside the tent or any rain leaking through. The tub like floor and taped seams help keep water out of the tent. We are so excited to use the Coleman Peak 1 tent this summer for all our outdoor adventures and I think it’s the perfect tent for newbies or more experienced hiking and camping enthusiasts! *I received this product complimentary for the purposes of testing.*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to assemble and to break down. Packs small an [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Weather has been terrible here so I was only able to test out in the backyard, unfortunately. Everything looked and felt really well made and solid. I was actually really surprised how lightweight and small it all packs down to. I have another similar tent by another brand that is definitely heavier. I assembled first in the garage, and everything was pretty straightforward. I like that there are attached instructions so I can't lose them. I took everything down and repacked it, just for the practice. Then I went and assembled it in the backyard between storms. I was able to get it up pretty quick even in the rain. I ended up leaving it set up in the yard for a half day in windy and very rainy conditions, and when I went to check it out, it was still nice and dry inside. I got played everything out to dry in the garage for a while, then easily got it all packed up again, no problem. I have had tents that were really a pain to repack, but this one seems like it will be much better. It is also light enough that I can use it for solo trip as well as for 2 people. I will probably still go back to my slightly larger 2 man tent for when we also have the dog with us, just for a little extra leg room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coleman Peak1 Tent – Reliable and Sturdy for Outdo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got my hands on the Coleman Peak1 tent, and after using it on a weekend camping trip, I’m pretty impressed. Setting it up was straightforward — it took me about 10–15 minutes solo, which is great for a tent of this size. The aluminum poles feel durable, and the overall structure seems well-engineered to handle tough weather. It’s not too heavy either, I’d say perfect weight for a backpacking tent and it’s very compact in the case making it easy for travel because it doesn’t take up too much space. One of the standout features for me was the WeatherTec Plus system. We had some pretty strong winds one night, and this tent held up without any issues. The waterproof fabric kept everything dry, and I really appreciated the tub-like floor that prevented water from seeping in. It’s obvious this tent was designed with rough conditions in mind. The Star View Window is a nice touch. It unzips from the inside, giving you a clear view of the sky — perfect for stargazing on clear nights. It also helps with airflow, so I didn’t wake up feeling stuffy. The two wide doors and vestibules make it easy to store gear and move in and out without disturbing anyone else. Overall, the 5-year limited warranty also adds peace of mind, and I can see myself using this tent for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for camping! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned several three-person backpacking tents, and the PEAK1 3P stands out as one of the most spacious ones I’ve used. Unlike other tents that feel cramped with three people inside, this one provides enough room to move around comfortably without feeling packed like sardines. Setup is a breeze—the aluminum frame snaps together quickly, and the tent is intuitive to pitch even in low light. I really appreciate the dual doors, which make getting in and out so much easier, especially when sharing with others. No more crawling over my gear or waking up my tentmates just to step outside! The WeatherTec™ Plus system does an amazing job keeping the inside dry, even in heavy rain, and the wind resistance gives me peace of mind when camping in unpredictable conditions. Another standout feature is the star view window, which lets you enjoy the night sky without leaving the warmth of your tent—a small but game-changing detail! For backpacking, this tent is surprisingly light and compact. The package is easy to carry, and I love that it can hang from my backpack without feeling bulky. It’s an ideal choice for hikers who need reliability without extra weight. Overall, the PEAK1 3P is a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a roomy, durable, and easy-to-use backpacking tent. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light and affordable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coleman 2P Peak 1 Backpacking Tent offers great value for those who want a lightweight and affordable shelter for their outdoor adventures. Weighing just around 3.5 pounds, it’s easy to carry and sets up quickly, making it a solid choice for solo hikers or couples. The tent features a minimalist design with a single door and vestibule for extra gear storage, though the vestibule is on the smaller side. The interior is surprisingly spacious for its size, providing enough room for two people and their gear, but it may feel a bit cramped with two larger people inside. The tent is built with Coleman’s “WeatherTec” system, which includes inverted seams and a waterproof coating to help keep the rain out. While the tent does hold up well in light to moderate rain, it’s important to note that its performance in heavy storms or prolonged downpours may be less reliable than higher-end models. Ventilation is adequate, with two mesh windows and a vent near the peak to reduce condensation, though the airflow could be better during humid nights. Overall, for its price point, the Peak 1 is a great budget option for lightweight backpacking. It’s not the most advanced or durable tent on the market, but it offers solid performance for casual campers or those just starting out. Pros: • Lightweight and easy to carry • Affordable price • Simple setup • WeatherTec waterproofing system Cons: • Small vestibule • Ventilation could be better • Not ideal for heavy rain or strong winds For the price, the Coleman Peak 1 offers solid performance, but for more serious or frequent backpackers, investing in a more durable and feature-rich tent may be worth considering.
