Description
Find protection from the sun, wind and bugs under a Coleman® Back Home™ 12 x 10 Instant Screenhouse at your next picnic, BBQ or campout. top does not hold up
We set up to use as a screen room, the frame is sturdy and strong the sides with screen hold up great. The top lasts one season only with a few patches.

My Suggestions & Big Question
I have used this product for about 5 years on my deck which is in full sun and sometimes heavy wind.I have replaced and repaired the top canopy. CANOPY - 1. For canopy and screen bottom fabric tears I use Gorilla Clear Tape as a temporary repair. It will last until you purchase another canopy top. You can find the top via Internet search. 2. Before installation, spray canopy top with 3M Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield and or Water & Sun Shield. FRAME - To prevent rust on telescoping supports, wipe with silicone or CRC Marine Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor during setup and before taking it down for the season. SCREEN - No suggestions. WHERE CAN I BUY NEW SCREENS? Mine has torn at the fabric on the bottom which is the same material as the canopy. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT AGAINST WIND - I use outdoor Cable Ties, 175 lbs. loop tensile strength, 36 inches to tie down the extending frame support to my deck on all supports. SUMMARY - This would be an excellent product if the canopy and screen fabric on the bottom was made of more durable material such as Dyneema Composite Fabric (DCF/Cuben Fiber) Vinyl, PVC-Coated Cotton or Poly-Cotton. WHERE CAN I BUY NEW SCREENS?

Wonderful Addition to My Camping Gear Collection!
I love my new screen tent! It was so easy to set up. On a hot summer day, at a music festival (read, on a farm with no shade), the temperature inside the shelter felt 10 degrees cooler than outside. It's sturdy and attractive, as well. Some small tarps strategically bungee corded to the frame protected us from both inclement weather and the sun when it was pouring in. I made a great choice!

Only lasted one season
I purchased this in the spring and took it down before winter- I put it up the following spring and the fabric was so weak that just putting it back up caused tearing in the canopy fabric. I had to throw the canopy out since there were so many holes. Disappointed because I thought buying Coleman as opposed to the other gazebo brands I would get better quality.

Looks sharp but has durability issues
Used it camping for a year. It was set up most of the time in shady areas. When I put down after a week of camping the material on the top (roof) was like paper and and tore in several spots. The frame is still good but I have been unable to just find the top material so it isn't any good to me now.

Best buy ever.
Purchesed ours a while back used it all over the States to Canada. Simple set up and durable. Kept out bugs and rain. After 5 years the canopy finally gave in. Countless rains storms and long Saskatchewan summer days this tent proved its worth to us and cant seem to find it anywhere anymore.

Two yrs and still working great.
Having a small motorhome, we use this as our living room in Florida in winter and UP of Mich in summer. Still in great shape. Very sturdy frame. Unlike other reviews we've had no issues with the top. We did spray it with water repellent right away.

Very durable. I love it.
I have owned this for several years. We use it every summer. I love my outdoor living space that protects from rain and insects. I appreciate that the manufacturer still offers parts and sales of this item. I will reorder another when this one wears out. My grandchildren have used this for a sleepover several times. I have a swing that concerts to a bed that sleeps 2 teenagers or several Little's. Presently, it has our swing, an outdoor rug and a coffee table. We get lots of compliments.

Camping, Tailgating and Family gatherings
Perfect for our family. We use our canopy all the time. Yes it’s heavy. Yes it’s sturdy. We leave the top on the rails when packed. That bit of advice will take you a long way. It fits on the backseat floor of a Prius.

Afforadable and effective but not for long term
easy to erect and great protection but not for long term set up. Lasted about 1 year before bad wind storm tore up NW weathered top. If for long term protection need to protect it from weather.

Great screen tent

Disappointing low quality from Coleman
We bought this because Coleman is a BIG name in camping equipment. But the roof of our canopy has deteriorated quickly. The product was good for one summer only. Now we are stuck with a screened canopy with no useable roof. We're very disappointed that there's no replacement part. Obviously it would be possible to provide this, but Coleman has made the choice not to. Time to switch to another brand. This isn't the Coleman quality I grew up with, sadly.

Roof leaks after minimal usage
The sun canopy was great for the first year. We use it once a year for car camping for a week. After the second week the roof material just leaks. I treated it with waterproof spray and there are no holes. It just leaks!! I would have expected this to least more than two weeks without leaking. There also doesn’t seem to be a replacement roof so this has to go to the landfill and I won’t be buying a Coleman to replace. I recommend to stay away!

Brittle top material
This was purchased to use softly on a deck over an outdoor dining table. Unfortunately, the top material began to turn brittle & rip. It wasn't because of wind as it was well protected by our house. It had VERY soft use, but didn't survive well. While the mosquito netting & zippers did fine as did the frame, the top didn't do well. We had hoped to take it camping, but not with how it ripped just on our deck. Disappointed.

Run away
Engineering/Design fail. The pillars do not have incremental lock positions, only close too fully extended so unless you have two or more people you will have to lock out one pillar which will grossly lopside the canopy to the point it will be difficult to extended the opposite pillar. This flaw will also require you will have to get on all fours to crawl inside the frame and awkwardly push up the center hub.

Great screenhouse
We bought this for camping. It's very well built. Easy to assemble. Effective at keeping pests and sun out. Sturdy zippers. Love the fact that it has a door on each side. So convenient. Bear in mind it is not waterproof. We were in a downpour and the rain seeped through. But it's not advertised as waterproof so I still give it a 5 star rating. May try a rain tarp across the top if camping in a storm again.

Not worth the Money
Bought this screen tent at the end of the season last summer. Used for maybe a month last year. Went to set up this spring and the material for the roof just ripped apart. Very poor quality material used for the screen and tent. Frame is good snd sturdy but useless with the screen and tent. The quality and durability of this product is very poor for the price of it. Definitely not worth the money.

Awesome Canopy......but
I love the heavy frame, it can hold up to some winds with no issues or having to stake down but.....but the canopy material needs to be a little stronger, more durable. We had it up for a bit and we noticed like some cracks and tiny holes. Like stars in the sky type of deal.
Would I recommend? Yeah bit I would tell them to put it away right after so they can save them for getting holes faster.

Needs a better cover!
Only used in summer months mostly shaded area on deck. Roof material too thin and tearing but frame is excellent. Sent in "contact us" form to see about purchasing a new cover and have discovered none available?!?!?!?! Great sturdy frame that becomes useless without a replacement cover, what a throw away world we live in!! If any third-party manufacturer makes a cover please let me know.

Will never buy a Coleman product again
Brought this at Costco and didn’t even last a full two summers. Noticed after using it once it was starting to wear on stress points, made with very cheap fabric, though the frame itself was good. Very maddening that Coleman doesn’t sell a replacement cover. So had to just throw the whole thing in the landfill. Will never buy a Coleman product again. Very unhappy customer.

Extra living room
I had mine for years. Unfortunately, after the 4th year of using it every summer, the fabric "dried" and I'm unable to by a replacement. The structure is very solid and the whole set up is easy to install. Only downfall is the unavailability of the replacement parts. I don't want to by a new one, since everything else is ok. Only because of this, I'm giving it 3 stars.

Le prix abordable, très bel abris, déjà déchiré???
Nous avons acheté il a 1 an et 1 mois (22 juin 2023) et la toile est déjà toute déchiré avec un usage normale.
A été installé la journée même de l'achat retiré en fin de saison remise dans le sac et ré-installé en début de saison d’été 2024 mais voilà que la toile se déchire d'un peu partout une déchirure complète dans une partie de la toile d'un poteau à l'autre.

Canopy top very poor quality and can't be replaced
Have had our shelter for only this past summer and the top canopy is already ripping. You have done nothing for anyone else to rectify this. Why don't you just offer the chance to buy just a replacement canopy as you know that that is the major problem that everyone has with it deteriorating and ripping. Just give people the chance to buy a replacement canopy!!!!!

Excellent-worth every penny!
A a single mother, I always look for quick, easy setup and long-lasting good-quality items.
This was just that. I set it up with very little help from my 8-year old and thoroughly enjoyed using it for 6 days. No insects were coming inside, it reduced dust in the interior, it was super well-built and also easy to take down and pack. I definitely recommend it!!

Very sturdy.
I use this screen tent in my back yard all summer. It has held up perfectly for 3 summers. The canopy roof has now weakened due to the sun. I am trying to replace it and can’t find just the canopy for it. The other parts are still perfect. Please let me know where I can find just the canopy. It would be environmentally important to just replace the canopy.

Used a couple of months and top ripped
I used my shelter for a couple of months, and unfortunately, the top ripped, which was quite disappointing. With no warranty or replacement parts available. While the structure itself is solid and easy to set up, the lack of durability in the fabric left me frustrated. I'd advise others to handle this product carefully or consider more resilient options.
