Description

Perfect for the Summer and Fall
I love this Screenhouse for the nice summer days. We live near a river which attracts numerous bugs that make it annoying to be outside. After living in our house for almost three years we only ate outside once because of the mosquitos and gnats. After buying the screenhouse we've eaten dinner outside countless times, its a huge help.

Nice Screenhouse But not made to last.
I had this screen house for two summer seasons before it was destroyed by the sun and then the wind. The first summer was great. Just maybe a couple small holes in the screen. I stored it for the winter and the put it up for the second summer. The top of the canopy did not last the entire second summer. It eventually was worn out by the sun (faded and weakened). The entire canopy was torn apart on a normal windy day. If you need it for one summer, then it is a great screen-house. But it is not made to last longer than that.

Great structure, canopy only lasts 1 season
Agree with other reviewers here. Overall great product and the frame is very sturdy. Problem is the canopy. Only lasts about 1 season due to sun exposure, and easily rips and tears. Coleman, if you're listening, we love your product, but please design a more sturdy and durable canopy!

Love ours, but sounds like quality of new ones bad
We've had our since 2015 and love it! Take it camping on several trips each summer. Protects us from the bugs and kept us dry during many rain storms. After 4 years we developed 2 small leaks, so I coated with a spray on UV/waterproofing product. Worked great! Was logging in to buy another as it's getting worn after 7 years. Based on all the reviews showing issues with the newer canopy material, I've changed my mind. Coleman, would it be possible to switch to another manufacturer who makes better canopies that are durable like the old ones? If you can fix this, I'd by another in a heartbeat!

Top canopy deteriorating after a week in the sun.
I only used this for a week in the sun and the canopy started to disintegrate overnight. Every day it gets worse.

Affordable but not durable
The roof of this screen house is very thin . It came with a small hole in it . I was not worried , but later that hole continued to rip . I only had it for 3 month it was in the shade, but seemed to dry rot anyways.

Descent and reasonably priced
I just put it up on my backyard, and it felt great with its wide, screened openings. It feels well built overall, but I noticed some minor defects like the hole (not an actual hole) shown in the picture and a sharp plastic molding residue on one of the many hinges, which almost tore the screen. I will just patch the hole if it becomes necessary and already filed away the sharp edge. A few spring loaded buttons didn’t work correctly, so I had to push the buttons down for them to click. Other than these minor flaws, it’s a reasonably priced haven for mosquito magnets like me.

More for the landfills?
Same message as other bad reviews. Canopy is not durable, and now I have a useless metal structure I don’t want to throw into the landfill. What to do? It was great for one summer, but that’s it. I think Coleman needs to make more durable replacement canopies, because this is a product that will not last any worthwhile amount of time, and is contributing to the trash polluting our planet.

So I’m a musician n with everything on hold for 2020 I wanted something I could set up w my gal outside so We can kick it n it was super easy to do we got it all decked out n are chillin as we speak I’m calling it the wig out dome lol it’s nice gonna set up my guitar amps n shred also we also got a Montana to go with it haven’t set that up yet but I’m real happy great job Coleman

Good structure but the top is used after 1 season
I don't understand why the compagny doesn't want to upgrade the top of the canopy because the structure is very good but after one season, the tissues of the roof tears and is unusable and a lot of people in our RV park use this canoy and the problem is the same

The frame is good, the screens good but if you want it for more than one season DO NOT PURCHASE THIS. I just carefully removed the top and found two tears. I couldn’t believe it, I was so methodical and slow in removing but no - I have had more trouble tearing paper. I thought Coleman was a name I could depend on but I guess standards have changed

This is a big no, no
My screenhouse has only been up 3 months. The canvas is falling apart. It is pulling and splitting and has 2 cuts so it rains inside. It is in an area that receives very little sun. Even bought a product care plan. What a joke!!!!

Easy to use
The 12' hexagonal was easy to set up. You should have two people to expand the frame but one could do it with some difficulty. The cover goes on fairly easily and fits well. The cover at least should be taken off if you're not using the screen house as wind could easily catch it and cause damage. I cannot stress enough the importance of not leaving the cover on for long periods. The fabric is lightweight and is obviously not designed for constant long term exposure to the elements. We secured the frame to our 12' hexagonal deck and it has performed well.

Used it for two short NewEngland summers.. fabric top come,Evelyn disintegrated by the end of the second season. Couldn’t take it down with out it completely but ripping apart from handling it.

Defective design
Completely failed within the first mild storm. There is a design flaw that allows water to pool on the top, no matter how well you attach the sides. This weight of the water causes the metal to break and bend. I love Coleman products but this was a horrible purchase.

Top dry rotted
We used this canopy over a picnic table. We have only used it for about three months and when we went to take it down the canopy just fell about because it had dry rotted from the sun even through it says it is uv protected. Will not buy Coleman tents any more.

Garbage quality durability
While out of the package this shelter seemed sturdy, durable, and user friendly, the fabric didn't even last a month before it broke down and started to rip. We used it for a few weeks over the last summer and on the third 5 day camping trip stress spots were noticeably thin. Always stored clean, dry, and loose. This spring went to set it up and fabric is disintegrating and tearing. Certainly, everything degrades in the sun over time, but for a product meant to be used as a sun shade, and from a company with a reputation for quality products, this is a huge disappointment.

Not real durable
Less than two years is a little limited. The first two years it stood up to winds and storms, and i used it all the time. Put it up three days ago, a moderate wind blew up (18mph ) and the roof completely shredded. Very. Disappointed. Can't find a replacement part, and I'm not buying another one. Darn.

Sturdy frame but top canopy ripped in less 1 year
This was for our Bed and Breakfast guests. We purchased in July 2022, and it ripped the same year. We removed in Fall/Winter and repaired it this spring however it ripped again in multiple places earlier this summer. By the time we realized, it was already August 2023 (after warranty period).

Fabric is weak point of product
Well, not much I can say that hasn't been said before. The structure itself is superb, but the canopy doesn't tolerate sunlight. Yes, you read that correctly, you cannot use this product in direct sunshine or the fabric will become brittle. We had rips in the fabic, not along the seams, after the first summer, and setting it up today caused additional major rips at essentially random spots. I would save my money and buy something that's rated for the outdoors.

need replacement canopy option
I loved this canopy, it went up easy and served as summer shade in our front yard. The fabric basically fell apart the next year. We were sent a replacement canopy, but that too fell apart in one year. We would love to buy a replacement cover for the frame we still have.

Roof and screens flimsy
I’ve purchase 4 of these because I love the room and style. I go to FL in the winter and the roof dry rots in sun. The screen is cheap and gets holes in it with Nothing even rubbing it. The frame is sturdy. We should be able to get replacement parts for these.

we put this up on our back patio and the screen ripped almost immediately. After only one summer the canopy ripped all the way around where the Velcro fasteners are. We are trying to get a new canopy but can't find where Coleman might sell them.

Disappointed!

WELL WORTH THE MONEY
This is our second screen room like this. The first one lasted 8 yrs. We are fulltime rv living so it's out in the sun a lot. Great quality & sturdy product. We get compliants from many other campers.
