Rated 4 out of 5 by from My new Coleman Stove The stove I received had an issue with the Generator not being alligned to fit properly and safely into the mixing chamber, so that the fuel tank could not engage fully into the two slots at the front of the stove. A second stove was shipped and it has no issues. I do love these Naphta Stoves, as my first one lasted over 30 years. We used it often on camping trips with the family and picnics as well. It can boil a pot of cold water in a very short time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome little stove This is an awesome stove and it reminds me of camping as a kid. It is cheap and economical to run with 1lb propane cylinders around $7-$8 in the lowermainland in BC and Coleman fuel at $20 its a no brainer works great and after this stove would never go back to propane

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little stove Great stove for emergency backup, camping, outdoor gatherings and mostly for having fun and making memories. My Grandfather had one when I was young and I can remember the smell of breakfast cooking in the great outdoors 50 years later. Still a bargain, still American made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most useful camping equipment I am 60 yrs. old, and still have AND use the stove we bought used when I was 12 yrs. old. We have disassembled the burners and cleaned them, replaced nothing, but it still cooks our meals when camping; 30-40 weekends per year. I read the poor reviews listed, and determined that some people aren’t as intelligent as the equipment they are using. In cold and high altitude conditions, the tank must be pumped up frequently, especially if it’s full, but the stove is more than serviceable. The grill will rust( as any steel will) if left exposed to the elements over long periods of time, just like the BBQ grill left in the rain over the winter- even if it is stainless steel. The reviewer who burned the side, must have had too big of a pot on the stove, covering the side, not allowing the hot gases from the flame to escape up before hitting the side of the stove. Common sense just isn’t that common, especially in this era!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OLD STOVE WE HAVE HAD THE CAP STOVE FOR AT LEAST 20 YEARS NOW WE CAN'T FIND PARTS FOR THE STOVE AD WE ALSO HAVE TWO COLMAN LATERENS AND CAN'T GET PARTS FOR THAT EITHER OUR STOVE AND LATERENS ARE IN VERY GOOD SHAPE THE PAINT IS GREAT ON THEM OUR STOVE IS A 3 BURNNER STOVE SO WE ARE DISAPPOINTED THAT WE CAN'T FIND PARTS TO FIX THEM

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time honoured and still delivering Full disclosure-I grew up watching the adults use these and always wanted one. Now that I have one-my only regret is that I waited so long! Great even, controllable heat and super efficient on fuel. In a week long camping trip cooking breakfasts and dinners and also heating water for washing up we only used one tank of fuel. Yes, you have to mind pumping it up and yes the second burner is not as hot as the primary burner but as long as you keep those items in mind you’ll be just fine. Love it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good example of Coleman products 425 white gas stove. New from the box. Day 4 of a 14 day trip on the upper Stikine when we had a major blowup. The valve would not shut off so we had a pool of white gas on the stove bottom that ignited. Even with the pressure released from the tank, gas would still leak out from the end of the generator. The stove presently looks 30 years old. Got it home and checked it over but can still feel air coming from the generator. I have other Coleman products that I like but not this stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Propane is for fools I have used my stove for ages. It is as reliable as my home stove. Propane is a waste of money and a pain to drag around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Easily flames out. Over the years of this Product, we have noticed that these flames out very easily. I would like to know if these are checked for performance periodically. This Product is widely used in Nunavut, and easy to pack and store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and affordable This is our second Coleman stove. We purchased the first one over 30 years ago. We were so happy with the durability of the first one that when we needed a replacement, we went back to the same model. We recently used it for a weekend music festival. The wind was horrific but the burner remained lit and did the job. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price and great stove I ordered this stove based on my parents having the same stove while I was growing up and the great time we had using it on cross country trips. The stove arrived quickly and in great shape. It performed as expected and the instructions were very easy to follow. Thank you to Coleman for the continued great product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifetime of great outdoor meals! As far back as I can remember (looking back some 40+ years) we have camped and RV’d and every trip, my dad had the 425 Coleman stove. Friends an family have had pretty much every other type of out door cooking stove, but nothing compared to our Coleman! There have been many occasions where others have finished cooking their meals on our stove! I purchased one of these stoves for my self when I had kids and continued our outdoor family traditions, that was about 20 years ago now and my stove is as good as the day I bought it. I’ve tried all types of portable 2 burner propane stoves, but nothing compares to the tried and true 425 style stove. I fear they have gone off the market now as I have been trying for the past few months to buy a new stove as a second one for home (in case of power outages) but all the local suppliers have nothing available. I hope that this is just a supply shortage, not a discontinued item, because they are truly the best outdoor stove ever made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for camping This is the absolute best little stove. It is the perfect stove for taking camping or if your just going on a picnic. It's like cooking on your stovetop from home. The fuel tank last a long time. So you could cook your dinner and breakfast on it. I would highly recommend you give this product a try.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Had to modify it! Arrived dented! First it came with a very large dent on the right side which I had to somewhat fix because Coleman offers no refunds or exchanges. Second I had to modify one of the fuel tanks brackets that hold it unto the grill. If I did not do so the tank would pop off and wouldve started a nice fire.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bullet proof design I have had my 415 for about 10 years and it works every time. Today we were changing over ranges in the house and I pulled it out of the shed where it has been for 2 years: pumped it up and it lit and operated like brand new.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive and extremely flammable Coleman stove need to fix the tube where it goes to the burner. Causing lives and fire when it floods. It’s a business, can take criticism and improve for the sake of peoples lives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Sweet, I had a stove like this one 20 some years ago... hot lost in the shuffle of military life. I recently bought a new one, and just like b4, it has not disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reliable Stove but Hard to Remove Excess Fuel The 425 model works well as a stove but I use it infrequently. It's fairly compact, very rugged, and boils water very quickly. A bit tricky to adjust the flame (the propane version is much easier for this) unless you have full pressure in the tank. Downside is that it is very difficult to remove fuel from the tank for long-term storage of the stove. Because of this I can only give the Model 425 a 3-star rating and wouldn't recommend the stove to others. The fuel fill port is located in the middle of the tank and there is a 2-inch "tube" that extends from the cap threads into the tank making it nearly impossible to remove excess fuel from the tank. To remove the fuel, you either must syphon it out, use a syringe to draw it out, or shake the fuel out of the tank and onto the ground. What a poor design! Older models had the fill cap on the end of the tank, which would make it considerably easier to remove fuel. I don't know what your designers were thinking in moving the location of the fill cap to the middle of the tank. If it was done for “safety reasons”, Coleman needs to go back to the drawing board.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I actually have my grandfather's Colman stove. It's from the 70s and works great! I've been using it since I was a kid, it has even helped me in storm situations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lasts generations! I have the one my dad purchased in the 70's. I grew up camping with this stove and it works as well now as it did then. I expect it will serve my kids well too.
