Rated 4 out of 5 by from Once you get it, can't live without it. This is a replacement for a 4-5 year old unit. Been used heavily on Scouting outings. 2 repairs on the stop-and-pour mechanism (don't really need it anyway), 1 broken canister, and the ignitor is flaking out (works about 25% of the time now). Figure it is one more breakage away from totally giving up the ghost. So why get a replacement? Just ask half a dozen Scout leaders who won't function without a couple cups of joe in the morning. Ranks in the necessity scale with pots and stoves. Biggest complaint: Why didn't Coleman design the reservoir to the same capacity as the canister? One of camping's great mysteries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never used a propane coffee maker and never knew they existed until recently although I love camping. I decided to get this prior to my last camping trip for the year before the cold weather got to be too much and I was very happy with the overall performance, taste and speed of the coffee brewing. I was expecting this to be difficult to use and that it would take forever just for a single cup of coffee but to my amazement it didn't take long at all to set up and before I knew it I was drinking a hot cup of coffee on the porch of my cabin watching the sun rise.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A VAST DISAPPOINTMENT this is not an efficient system... the burner overheats the water in the cool water reservoir..making it impossible for the water to flow correctly by science into the drip system. I am extremely disappointed and went back to my old aluminum drip system from the 1960s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice coffee pot I purchased this Product about 15 years ago, Had only 1 major flaw with it. The water control flow check valve blew out because it was not securely installed, Instead it was a press fit. I fixed the issue by supper glueing it into place. it ran exceptionally well since then, until recently the water tube under the burner plate developed a leak. Today 07/21/2022 I received my new coleman quick pot in the mail, ran water through it to kill any bacteria and remove debris in the water tube and to make sure the water control check valve didn't come out right away. If my memory serves me right it took a few uses before it came out last time. in any event I know how to fix it. Hopefully I'll get plenty of great years of brewing coffee in it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable Our Scout troop has two of the coffee makers for the adults. It gets a good workout during the weekend and week long campouts. The only drawback of the coffeemaker is the little black plug/valve in the water chamber comes out and could or would get lost. If the plug could be permanently attached I would rate this coffeemaker with 5 stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT WORTH THE PRICE USED FOR CAMPING TRIPS. TAKES TO LONG TO PERK. HAVE TO ADD ADDITIONAL WATER TO GET A FULL POT. THE WATER VALVE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WATER FILL CHAMBER KEEPS COMING OUT AND CAUSES HOT WATER TO SPEW OUT UNDER THE LID. THE IDEA FOR A CAMPING COFFEE MAKER IS GREAT, BUT THE DESIGN LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good maker, for awhile When new, it makes good coffee reliably if you keep it away from any breeze at all. After a few uses (3-4) however, the water check-valve located at the bottom of the tank at the inlet to the heater tube pops out. It can usually be pressed back in a few times, but this practice further loosens the grip it has on the ferrule it is installed in. If not checked after each use, it accidentally gets discarded. Our troop has two of these now without check valves (3 of the stove top version). We just purchased our third of these. When, for either product, either a) the check valve no longer stays in, or b) has accidentally been discarded, it can continue to be used to make coffee. The trick is to keep the tank absolutely full. The water pressure from the weight of the water in the full tank forces the water through the tubes enough to make 1/2 coffee and 1/2 steam. It's better than nothing. There is no replacement part (check valve) available. We are looking into have some made locally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice coffee maker [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good, my husband an I love early I mean really early fishing so this really help us out alot in the mornings. Normally we enjoy more than one cup of coffee but when we do fishing trips we only get a chance to drink one and head out the door, but this this I get to enjoy my coffee for as long as I like an I just love it. It was very easy to set up and use. I did purchased my tank online buy just typing in the products name. My husband was super surprised on how easy it was to clean and pack back up for the next trip. Funny part other people around us enjoy this aswell and I truly believed we sold them on getting one. Im truly in love and can't wait for our annual camping trip to rip this out again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too long making a pot of coffee. Got this from a friend because it took too long to brew coffee. I used regular grind coffee and it brewed 10 cups in 15 min. I used the expresso coffee he bought and it took 18 min. to brew only 8 cups. It soaked up 2 cups of water. The finer the grind of coffee the longer it takes to brew a pot and more water will need to be replaced for that which is soaked up. Electric drip coffee makers take between 6-12 min a pot with regular grind coffee The coffee I made was great and the time remains around 15 min.a 10 cup pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Coffee [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this coffee pot on the small camping trip before the weather got cold. I also Use this coffee pot on my husband's job sites. He's a contractor and working out in the cold they are running to the store for coffee all day. Using a propane coffee maker actually makes it incredibly easy to have coffee on the job site that's fresh brewed and hot all day. The quality of the pot is just as good as an excellent coffee pot in your kitchen. It was easy to use it was easy to make and it's easy to transport. I love this coffee pot!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing! Believing in the Coleman name we purchased this coffeemaker. Unfortunately the reservoir does not hold enough water for the carafe, and the brewing process took forever .. at least a half an hour for a pot of coffee. We made coffee several times before giving up, putting it on a shelf in the garage and going back to our ‘old school’ stove top perc.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from very slow and not complete pot of coffee I have used the coffee maker many times camping. It is very very slow brewing! I mean it take 30 minutes to 1 hour or more for it to brew a pot of coffee. when the water reservoir is empty, I have ONLY 1/2 to maybe 3/4 of a pot of coffee. I like the coffee maker. would recommend it. If anyone can advise if I am doing some thing wrong or do I have a bad coffee maker for taking so long to brew?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fisherman's dream I've used this coffee pot on my boat, on the shore and on the back of the pickup. It's perfect and fast. It doesn't involve having to use a camp stove of any kind. I can be sitting in a hard line on the Columbia River making coffee waiting for my salmon to attack. I bought one for my son he takes it steelhead fishing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too fragile for camping The QuickPot was clutch (for a while) during an extended power outage after a storm. However, we've used it once camping, so possibly two mornings of use and two or three uses during the storm outage, so after approximately 5-7 uses, the regulator failed. Difficult to determine whether there is a replacement. Can't speak to the other durability comments but am inclined to agree. Too expensive for the short unit life. This item was purchased before there were many reviews.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes great coffee! We took the QuikPot up to Mammoth last weekend on a camping trip and found it made great coffee and was easy to use. I would have given it 5 stars, except for the fact that the design of the filter/coffee container has a poor design and can be a challenge to get into place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sucks You pour water in the top it sits there and will not drain in the carafe because the glass pot isn't tall enough to push against the black lever to let coffee drain....I used a plastic knife and jammed it in to hold the lever open! And the basket warps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poisonous paint I bought one of these 2 years ago. When I got home and unpackaged it, I actually looked at the provided literature. There were several warnings inside stating that you should wash your hands after handling because the product was coated with lead paint and it will rub off on your hands. What is basically a food product, is actually harmful to your health. I've checked the most current manual for this thing on line and it does not appear to mention lead paint and hand washing. Looks like maybe they have changed the paint on the newer ones. I was looking forward to using it but now have a large Percolator coffee pot that needs a little babysitting but makes a very decent cup of coffee. I won't be buying one of these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Coffee in the making [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can’t wait for the weekend to come so me and my family to go on our camping trip upstate I love love coffee and to be able to have a QuickPot Coffee Maker while out doors is the greatest idea ever and I can’t wait

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love it we have been using this coffee maker for over 5 years. we camp for 7 weekends at an event and use it every morning without issue. however we learned it MUST be level or the water will not drain thru to the pot. and the spout of the pot MUST be put against the flipper in back. Also, it cannot be left on to keep coffee hot after the water reservoir is empty (which caused the plastic innards to melt) which is why i also bring a carafe to empty it into. the reservoir is not large enough to hold the full 10 cups of water but we just keep pouring water into the reservoir because the early birds love it strong and the late risers like it a little weaker. overall, the coffee maker is a god send because it does not take up a burner on the stove.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well I just used for seven days and it performed flawlessly. One morning it overflowed but that was my fault, you must have the coffee pot lined up to press on flow tab of basket. My only complaint would be when the temperature on the regulator is set to low, it will still percolate the water into coffee basket. I wish it only kept the pot warm when set to low so I could keep a little bit of water in the tank. I also used it to get hot water to do dishes. I went through a propane tank in five days and that was leaving it on for about two hours a day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great addition to a camping kit. We have taken it twice now and dont think I can go camping with out it now. Simple and easy to use. It isnt much different than a plug in pot. You just put the propane bottle on it and turn it on push a button and when it ignites you leave it alone and let it do its thing. It takes about the same ammount of time as a conventional coffee pot. Great tasting coffee! I would deffinatly recommend this to anyone who loves to camp!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't rough it without my coffee! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many many camping type coffee makers in my lifetime. ALL have been the type that you keep on a grate in the fire. While these work and are somewhat efficient I wanted something simpler that required less work on my part and also freed up valuable fire space. This pot is amazing. I have fresh brewed coffee in about 15 minutes with little to no effort on my part. I am also super fond of the pause and serve feature. So I don't have to wait the e tire time and can e joy a cup while I wait in the other nine. One tank lasted me for such a long time. I easily made 15-18 pots on one propane tank. However coffee doesn't last long at our fire so keeping it warm for long periods wasn't something I tried.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost a perfect item, but for a major flaw. For my group, a coffee maker of some kind is mandatory when we are in the woods. Why Coleman no longer offers a steel coffee pot, boggles the mind. Using only a glass coffee pot forces me to wrap it in bubble wrap, pack it in a special spot, so as not to break it. It becomes something to worry about, the whole time. We now leave it at home, and now use a steel perculator to make our coffee. I use a lot of Coleman products, they are a superior, reliable, and a great product. A lot of thinking goes into the creation of

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Takes long to brew [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went camping in the lake and were excited to take this coffeemaker. The idea of a propane coffeemaker was great, in my opinion. It is a bit on the bulky side, but I could get over that. I think it’s convenient to take camping, but it seems to take quite long to brew. Not only that, but I saw water kept pouring out on the sides. It didn’t do it all the time, but it can get messy. Coffee tasted good and was perfect temperature, but sadly, it needs a lil improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So convenient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We went camping this past weekend and It was the perfect time to try this out. My husband and i can't go without our coffee or we are not too much fun. It was so simple to set up and get ready. It did take a few minutes longer than I expected to finish but that is not something I didn't half expect. The main thing was it worked and the coffee was great. I will be using this a lot in the future. Also great to have on standby in case of a power outage as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for camping and work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is a life saver while out camping with the family. Camped for the weekend and this made it so easy to survive. It’s easy to assemble. Hooks up to those green propane bottles and makes a whole pot in 18 minutes It even pauses to serve, if you don’t want to wait. Simple to operate and even easier to clean. I also use this in the field ( I’m always working out in the field) and it never gives me any problems. Worth it to own one for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soo AWESOME [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has to be one of the best products I have ever owned! I am just too going camping and having is the worst coffee in the morning, and coffee is a must for me. This coffeemaker makes me feel like I just went to the store and bought my favorite cup of coffee. I am beyond happy with this product. I told my family and friends about this because they go camping as well. Once again, hands down best product that I own when it comes to camping gear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Convenient and portable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I camp a lot with my family and we love coffee. I usually just take instant coffee because is so much easier than trying to pull out a coffee pot and deal with finding a plug and such. Not sure if you've ever had instant coffee, it's not the greatest. This is super convenient and easy to travel with. All you have to do is hook up your propane you already have anyway, and fresh hot coffee it is. So easy to use. Also, really easy to clean.
