Rated 3 out of 5 by from Extremely bright Always used dual fuel Coleman’s in the past and will continue to do so. This lantern is amazingly bright. On its low setting it is almost equal to my smaller dual fuel on maximum. Very reliable and easy spark ignition. Almost like a light switch. And the base is great if it turns out to be durable. The down side is this thing is a fuel guzzler!!!! Lit it about 6pm so I could sort out any issues and let it burn off the “new” while I had light to see. About 10pm I noticed the lantern was noticeably dim. When I checked it, the new 1lb propane cylinder was empty. The next night we had a cold snap into the 50s F and propane cylinder was having trouble maintaining enough pressure to feed the beast. I use my camping gear and trips to prep for SHTF situations and this will not be part or my “grab and go” equipment. If you don’t mind burning $15 worth of propane on a long camping weekend for light that you can read by, buy this lantern! This lantern will go into my cook station box to use on a distribution “pole” on a bulk tank for excellent lighting for food prep.
