Awesome for camping
Use these for common areas in camp. Work great to illuminate cooking and gathering areas. 2-3 will illuminate a 30-50 ft area comfortably.

Bright and easy to use.
This lantern can produce a very bright light. The light color is a warm white that is pleasing to the eyes. Whenever it is being used all the stark white led lamps are turned off because their light is harsh and unpleasant. This does use the northstar tube mantle which is the brightest single mantle available. I have had no problem with them but some people prefer the old fashion sock mantle.
The pros of this lantern are that it uses standard one pound propane cylinders that are available almost everywhere. It has an automatic ignite button that hasn't failed me in almost a year of use. And it is very bright, just hang it up and light your whole campsite. As of Dec. 2018, you cannot buy a battery powered lantern that is this bright and has great warm color for the same price. An great and unexpected benefit is for use in cold weather. If you hold it by the handle it will keep your hands warm. I just used it in 40° weather and was nice and warm while people with flashlights did not enjoy this benefit.
The cons do need consideration though. Running through propane cylinders can get expensive as the lantern will use a whole one in less than 5 hours when run on high. Refill your tanks and it becomes a non issue. The lantern gets hot enough to burn if you're not careful and since it burns propane it can release carbon monoxide so it should only be used with proper ventilation, not inside your sealed up tent.
As others have said, the bolt on the top that holds the vent hood on can come loose and fall inside. This happened to me and this is why I deducted one star. But fear not, it took me about 10 minutes with a magnet and dental floss to get it out so I didn't have to send it back. It is only pressed into place and not welded. FIX THIS PROBLEM COLEMAN. The solution is to screw down the cap extremely hard Without the vent hood in place. This stops it from falling out in the future.
Last remarks, fueled lanterns are great and I use both propane and coleman fuel lanterns regularly. If you want the easiest experience then get propane. I also really enjoy the coleman fuel lanterns because they can be turned down very low and hold enough fuel to burn all night with a little pumping. GET ONE
