The 2-mantle design of this lantern creates a steady, bright glow of up to 1000 lumens of light that reaches up to 23 meters away. Starting your lantern is easy. Just hit the Instastart™ push-button ignition and dial in the perfect brightness with the adjustable control knob. Once your lantern is lit, you can use the reflector to direct the light to a specific area or remove it to light the entire campsite. The extendable base provides stability when placed on a table, and the bail handle allows for easy hanging. Meanwhile, the globe guard helps protect the globe from breaking. No matter where you go, the PerfectFlow™ pressure control technology produces a steady fuel stream and consistent performance in all kinds of weather. When you're ready to head home, simply push in the base extensions and nest the lantern into the base for more compact storage until you're ready for your next bright adventure.

Used this for camping, the tank elevates the light a bit allowing illumination of a full table space. Propane is cheaper than batteries and you can store it almost indefinitely. I got this as well for those fall camping trips where batteries may not handle the cold so well. Gets hot so I wouldn't recommend this for small children around or high activity areas. If there is a burn ban in effect I'm going to pop this baby on a picnic table for card games and a couple drinks, perfect!

Nice lantern, fragile globe!
My kids bought me this for my birthday last year. First time I lit it, the globe cracked!
