[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new lantern it is awesome and it is very durable made out of a metal construction and also features a soft grip handle with carabiner also features a rubberized base to prevent slipping when on a surface. I love the 4 different light modes and the light is very bright its awesome also this lantern is impact-resistant and ipx4 water-resistant for reliable use outdoors in the elements. Also the lighting lasts long time for hours I also love it only takes (4) D batteries. This is Definitely the best lantern that I have ever tried and I love it and I really like the style and design and I Definitely recommend it. Pros: Hours of lighting Durable Quality Value Metal construction Soft grip handle Battery operated Impact-resistant Ipx4 water-resistant Cons: N/A Definitely recommend.

I wanted it for camping in the summer however it is too cold out for that right now. There was a storm with high winds and the electricity was out for around 3 hours and this lantern was great. It does take 4 D batteries but it was very bright and lasted for the outage. I think this will be great for lots of things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenjen27 from Bright latern [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this latern about a week ago to use on our up coming camping trips and we tested the light in my daughter's room as a light for her to use at night and its really bright and easy to use.You just put D batteries and twist the knob.It has 3 light settings from lighter to really bright then it has the Sos light on it too.We would definitely recommend this latern especially for camping trips or just around the house.

I think this is probably the best and nicest lantern. It looks old and kind of antique, very nice! It is very bright and works perfectly. Easy to change batteries. After using for several hours night fishing, it was still going strong. No worries about storms leaving me in the dark again. Can't go wrong with Coleman by your side!

Rated 5 out of 5 by J.Young from Awesome Battery LED Lantern! I just love this lantern + Eneloop Pro AA + D Cell Adapters. So I do wish they would have put a huge battery in the lantern with charging capabilities etc. BUT I understand why they did it like that (in case you are camping with no place to charge etc., just swap with spare batteries). I'm not into disposable batteries because its so wasteful and ridiculous, so I got the Panasonic D adapters for my Eneloop Pro's and ordered another 8 pack of AA's just for the lantern. Its awesome, works flawlessly! Now as far as form... Not only does it look old-school and classy, but the LEDs are warm tones, not bright white, which really adds to the whole experience IMO. The price is indeed kinda high, but how often do you buy a lantern? Once every 10-20 years? Highly, highly recommend this, and invest in some quality rechargeable batteries as well. Cheers!

Kind of pricey currently, but a very cool look, and from what i saw looking around, there are only one or two other companies that are trying to make functional, battery operated lanterns with a vintage look. D batteries make it hefty, but you get long run times out of them. A good tradeoff in my book. Tall enough to set on a table. Of note, it does not have a clip on the handle. There is a picture of some one hanging it on a cord on the website...unless you string a cord through the handle, you would not be able to do this.

I love the classic durability and quality in this have lantern! When I first met my hubby, we went shopping for camping gear and I found a Coleman lantern like my dad had. Unfortunately, it took a battery that cost more than my budget allowed at that time. When my father past away, I was gifted his Coleman lantern. I treasure that gift even though I still haven't used it. This retro lantern uses regular D batteries! I live in a state that deals with hurricanes, tornadoes, and power outages on a regular basis. I keep an emergency box for these episodes. To be able to add this quality of fashion lantern is an amazing gift beyond my expectations. I can not only add flashlights and D batteries now to my emergency box, but I can now add a part of my childhood to it as well! The LED light is technology beyond my expectations. It's not just a light to save for power failures. Oh no! It's a super bright light for night hunting, fishing, camping, and even just hanging out working or playing in your own backyard. The 1900 COLLECTION 600L LANTERN by COLEMAN is not just a throw back memory for myself, it's a useful necessary tool for fun an vs survival for my family today!

The quality of light you get from this one lantern has been the best I have seen in years. This would be perfect for camping trips, or stormy nights when you lose power.
