it's a cooler, nothing special
It's green, it's a cooler, it doesn't leak. The lid doesn't stay shut, so if you're in bear country you'll need to secure it in a trunk or bear box.

Does the latch system lock the cooler lid closed? Or can it still be opened by pulling up on it without moving latch to open position? This is how my new reunion cooler is like, and trying to determine if defective or not.

Hello, Thank you for reaching out. The Reunion&trade; 54-Quart Steel Belted&reg; Matte Cooler features a latch designed to help keep the lid closed during use. Based on the product design, the latch should securely engage the lid when it is in the closed position. If your cooler's lid can be opened simply by pulling up on it without first moving the latch to the open position, that may not be the expected operation. We would be happy to take a closer look at your cooler and determine whether there may be an issue with the latch mechanism.
