Fuses and Fan Problems
Was excited when I found this solution as I lived in rural setting where specialty grocery stores were 40 minutes plus away. So when I shopped it was an all day event (grab lunch or dinner when you're in the big city, right?). Went through multiple fuses blown in a full size SUV, then corrupted the outlet the last time before the fan crapped out. Also the seal around the top kept falling out since about the 5th use. The amount of times used was probably 3 before the problems started showing up. Ended up going back to standard cooler with ice blocks. Have kept it as a backup cooler (with ice blocks) for overflow (over shopping). But it is headed to dump with the next outdoor gear purge. Can't recommend. Won't buy Coleman plugin again: experience has been disheartening since Coleman has always been solid performer in the other products I own. I threw away a vintage swing latch Coleman cooler that lasted 30+ years just a few years back: for rust, not function problems or poor construction. I expected the plugin to last at least half of that as it's primary purpose was for trips. If it had wheels it would've been used more for day-to-day functions like parties and other gatherings where a plugin is not optional. Maybe the product has improved but I'll have to take others words on that. Need my groceries kept at proper temp and tired of going to auto parts store, and working around blown outlets until they are fixed.
