Great Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this product a few months ago and don't have one single negative thing to say about it! First, it is a very durable top that stays on very securely even if the winds from the boat ride don't blow it off. The ice I put inside the ice chest lasted until the next day and even then still had a few ice cubes in the water. Every drink someone pulled out to drink was ice cold each time. Love the places for drinks on the top of the cooler that was a plus for my kids as they used the top as a table and placed their drinks in the holders. I have never purchased a from the Coleman brand but from now on it will be my first choice.

52 quart marine cooler
This Coleman is perfect for what I need, like the light weight and size. I do wish Coleman would up grade this to a Garden Hose drain that wedge plug is unreliable gets bumped and starts to leak without you knowing until you discover water is drained where its unwanted.

Great Cooler - Everything stays cold!

The chest is spacious inside and sits at a convenient height to grab drinks from the built in cup holders. The TempLockFX insulation in the lid and body provides insulation that is the latest technology. The cooler is Built to last, the Have-A-Seat Lid supports up to 250 lbs. and has four molded cup holders. The tethered drainplug resists leaks, the liner resists stains, and our EZ-Clean lid makes cleanup simple. Sporty tri-color combo has classic appeal, and there's even a built-in ruler for measuring the catch of the day. Handle is Trash
Owned this cooler less than 6 months and the handle and handle holder on one side completely come off the cooler. Not really usable with only one handle.

Disappointed
We bought this cooler and within the one day we used it the handle broke off and the screws came out of the side that holds the lid on. On only got to use the cooler once before it was broken and no use. We put 20lb ice In and after a couple hours it was not cold and just water. So disappointed and it wasn’t a cheap cooler you would expect way more for this product.

Does Not Keep Ice 3 days, barely one. . .
I placed ice in it and left it on my shaded, covered porch to see how long it would actually hold ice (before I took it out on my boat for days and trusted it would work as stated). The ice was melted is just a little over a day, in 90 degree days, with 60ish nights. . . It does not appear to have any insulation at all, other than air, as someone else stated.

Keeps everything nice and cold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried out the 316 Series Cooler 52 qt 5860 T/R/T c2. This Coleman Cooler is great. We used it for a camping trip and it kept our drinks, cold cuts, and snacks very cool and still kept cool for two days. The handles are very sturdy and are easy to grab and go. The lid has four built-in cup holders, which made it very convenient to place our drinks on there. Also, the top is very solid that you can use as a seat and holds a good amount of weight. The inside of the cooler is very durable and spacious from the inside and out. It holds a lot of drinks and snacks. It kept a tight seal from the lid, which helped extend the life of the ice and temperature. I also like the blue color. Overall, this cooler works great and keeps your stuff nice and cold.

I bought this cooler for our vacation trip. They say it keeps ice for 3 days. I put 20 lbs. of ice in it everyday. I should have spent the money on ice and used my old cooler instead of buying this one. On the bright side, it holds water.

Great size - deep & tall
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE this cooler! We recently used it on a trip to the beach for a long weekend. We packed a few fridge items and drinks in it, and the food held up great - along with ice of course! I should say it held the ice well for the trip and it didn’t automatically thaw out.
The handles on the sides are great for easy carrying. My fiance does most of the heavy lifting but to my surprise even with the ice in it, it wasn’t that heavy!
It’s a great size but also fits very nicely in the car!
10/10 recommended this cooler!

Long lasting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Coleman ice chest is way better than our other cheaper Coleman ice chest. My husband uses this daily for work out in his non ac delivery truck in this Florida summer heat (triple digits heat index). Our old one the ice would be completely melted within 2-3 hours. This one stays cold almost all day with slower melt time (5-6 hrs). This ice chest is a great alternative when you can't afford the expensive name brand ones. I highly recommend to all in need of keeping things chilled longer than the cheap ones.

Holds a lot!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi! We recently received this cooler and took it camping. It seems to be a well constructed cooler and we did not have trouble with leaking or parts breaking. It holds a lot of food and beverages and held actual ice for about 3 days in 85 degree heat. I like the cup holders on the top. However, the top is much thinner than our previous Coleman cooler and I do not recommend sitting on this cooler if you weigh more than 150 pounds. Overall, it seems to be a very good cooler that I foresee using for many years.

Ice Cold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooler is top class. It's super light weight. I expect it to be heavier like other brands. I certainly didn't think it would hold ice for 3 day. I was wrong! Using this cooler made for a perfect weekend trip. It was light weight, holds 80 can beverages and we opened and shut it all weekend and the ice was still frozen after 3 day. Definitely my top choice in a cooler.

Weak handles
I found that the holds ice better than some of the reviewers, but my issue is that where the handle is connected to the cooler is weak.
The advertisement on the cooler states that it holds 80 cans, we didn't have half of that and some ice and the handle gave up when I was carrying it. Coleman coolers in my opinion are some of the best around but this model could be tougher.

Extremely Poor Ice Retention
I've used older Coleman coolers and never had much issue with them. The 316 series is absolutely abysmal though compared to others I've had. Filled it full of cold drinks and 16lbs of ice before bed and it's all water the next day. Even when I've had it inside for parties the cooler will only keep ice for maybe 5 or 6 hours tops. Just really poor quality.

Strong, cool and easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This does a great job at keeping things cold! I recently filled this cooler with 40 pounds of ice and enough sodas and juices to keep cold for three days. At day four there was still ice in the cooler but the drinks were gone. A quick flick of the plug and it drained the remaining water in just a few moments. It is easy to move with the big sturdy handles and made of a strong plastic that feels very durable. I have a feeling this cooler is gonna be with us a long time.

The hinge assembly is very poorly designed and has already failed to point the lid comes off and the plastic lid strap is broken as well. It’s such cheap plastic that the lid would never stay in place while open it would always close! Spend a few more bucks and look at the lid assembly

Just what I needed

This cooler is a perfect size for a small to medium party or get-together which is perfect for us. It keeps cool for a good while and have a nice tight seal which keeps the cold in and hot out. The handles are nice and strong so I doubt they will be breaking anytime soon. The quality is good and I can already tell how durable this product is going to be.

Perfect for Camping or a Day at the Lake
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Coleman Chest cooler is perfect for camping, tailgating, picnics, a day at the lake or on the lake and so much more.
My favorite feature are the 4 cup holders on top of the cooler. This comes in extremely handy when we are camping. Someone is always looking for somewhere to put their drink so it doesn't get kicked over.
The 52QT means it's big enough to store the weekend groceries for our camping trips. It also works great if we are having company over and want to keep a cooler full of juice boxes or bottled water outside for the kids. Holds a fair amount and the lid is easy enough that the older kids can get it off and put it on without assistance.
It's a great cooler for the summer and one we'll be using for a long time.

Save your money
As the other review states, we recently purchased this exact cooler. We were on a road trip and needed something to save us on purchasing ice so frequently. This cooler did exactly the opposite of what we had expected. By evening the ice had turned to water (the cooler was not left in direct sunlight or exposed to extreme high temperatures). Big time bummer from a brand that prides itself on the outdoors.

Be careful what you order
I ordered the Series 316 52-Quart Cooler but received the 62-Quart Cooler. It is too big for my needs so I returned it and cancelled the order. It is a nice ;looking cooler just the wrong size.

Out with the old....
My 1977 Coleman cooler was just replaced with a 2021 model. This size is great for a back seat cooler. I have the 100 quart also for full weekend trips.

Tough and lite
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We spend a lot of time on the lake. This 52q Coleman marine cooler has saved us so much money on ice! Big enough to hold all a family of 5 will need for the weekend and just have to put ice in it one time. Nice large handles for easy carrying and comes with four cup holders on top so it is easy for the kids to use it as a picnic table. This was my first marine cooler and I am hooked. Won't ever go back to standard coolers.

I own several top brand coolers and have grown tired of the heavy, hard to open, small interior and over priced ones. This cooler keeps everything cold for at least 36hrs with claims of 3 days!
My ONLY drawback was the lack of wheels or at least a wheel Accessory. Depending on how much ice and packed items in it, you need 2 people to carry it.

Very well built

Love that it is well built and has heavy duty hinges and handles that will definitely stand up to the test of time. The spigot on the side for easy draining of water is a huge plus! Good cooler

It can withstand drop and dragging to the ground. We use it to store food for the camping trip such as meats, eggs, fruits, veggies, drinks and alot of ice. It stays cool for almost a day and the ice didnt melt fast. It stays cool and the food stays fresh. It's a very good cooler and very durable and sturdy.

No insulation in lid
We bought this last night and took it to the store today to keep the refrigerated goods cool on the way home. We had it in the trunk on the way home and all of the food at the top was very warm when we opened it. It was only a 20-minute car drive and it is not even 80 degrees outside. The inside of the lid was extremely warm which leads us to believe that there is no insulation in the lid. We plan on taking it back today to see if we can get our money back.

Junk!
These coolers are just plain junk. I bought two of these coolers, a 70qt and a 120qt. The 1st time I used the 120 qt. cooler one of the handles broke. The cooler was less than two weeks old and it only had a small amount of stuff in it. I couldn't believe it. A new name brand cooler that i paid good money for just broke the first time I used it. I haven't used the 70 qt. yet but I am sure it will break as well. I kick myself in the butt for buying them.

Durable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive been kicking this cooler around for the last week on our travels across the country. We just got home and washed it off. It still looks brand new. This has definitely come in handy. It is well built. Some of the new comers to the market have been more popular, but not as well built. Just because it can keep ice cold doesn’t mean you shoupd but it. This will keep a whole chest of ice cold for a day.
